Some say the place can make you feel like you’re actually in Thailand. Sinong Thai Bintulu is located beside the river in Bintulu’s old town area. It’s an open-air restaurant, decked with wood furniture and plants. Sinong Thai pulls off the tropical decor theme perfectly.

The location + open-air + decor gives it the most chill Thai-Esque ambiance. Not Thai enough? The TV only shows Thai shows. This gives the background of Thai music and talk.

Imagine all this coupled with real Thai flavors for the ultimate flavor trip. Some patrons even forget they’re still in Bintulu.

HUGE Halal Thai Food Selection

Sinong Thai’s menu has probably one of the biggest halal Thai food selections you can find outside of Thailand. You can get anything from Som Tam to Tom Yum and Pla Rad Prik here. Talk about range! Calling the menu wide is an understatement.

The food is delectable, fresh, quick, and seasoned-perfectly. The chef does an amazing job of serving A-class quality dishes. The food is consistent too.

So, what to eat at Sinong Thai Bintulu? What is Thai food without Tom Yum? You have to try theirs. It’s aromatic, spicy, rich, and just flavor-packed. The portion is big too! Perfect for sharing. Other than that, do try their Kaw Pat Sappa Road/ Pineapple Fried Rice. The flavor is just right. The Som Tam/ Papaya Salad is another must-try.

Don’t miss out on the seafood dishes when you go. All cooked with fresh out the water into the frying pan seafood. The Pat Meak Khai Khem/ Salted Egg Squid is to die for! And, you must try the Pla Rad Prik, aka the Thai version of sweet and sour fish.

Honestly, I’d recommend the whole menu if I could. It’s that good! ALL their dishes are amazing.

Reasonably Priced, Perfect for Special Occasions

For Sinong Thai Bintulu’s level of quality, their food is really reasonably priced. It’s in the moderate price range. However, eating here with a crowd here can rack up a big bill. But it’s so worth it.

However, if you’re feeling a little frugal you can always opt for the more affordable single plate/ bowl menu items.

You definitely get what you pay for. The food is perfectly seasoned. The seafood is really fresh. And the vibe just completes the dining experience.
