The Sarawak Heritage Food Festival is finally here! This annual event is hosted by the Sarawak Culinary Heritage Committee and they aim to create awareness on the local food scene here in Sarawak. Sarawak is filled with different cultures and ethnicity where each of them brings around different type of food preparations.
The Sarawak Heritage Food Festival returns to India Street for the third year. Due to the success in the past 2 years, this year’s food festival is expected to be bigger where the committee added in Kai Joo Lane and plans to bring in 60 stalls ranging from 90 different dishes. You can expect to see dishes from different cultures like Iban, Kayan, Kelabit, Bidayuh, Melanau, Indian, Chinese, Malay, Nyonya and many more.
Besides that, there will be entertainment happening during the festival such as Sape & Arang Orang Ulu, Kompang Melayu, Melanau Dance, Gendang Jamilah, and the Mighty Street Dancers.
