Look out, Kuchingites! There is a new beverage shop in town! Reinforcements of the Monkey is an international brand with their first store in Kuching at Canaan Square. Don’t miss this social hot spot with a fun cheery ambience & great delicious beverages.
This shop is a beverage brand co-founded by Olympic Ping Pong Gold Medalist, Mr Zhang Jike. It was inspired by one of the main characters from the Chinese novel/movie Journey to the West, which is related to Sun Wukong or The Monkey King.
So, how does Reinforcements of the Monkey stand out you might ask? Famed for their popular fruit teas and first ever in Malaysia, fruits lactobacillus health drinks! They use fresh fruits and quality ingredients in all their beverages. The overall refreshing tea beverage experience is something everyone has to try!
Firstly, we have their Signature Fruit Tea. It is so refreshing to have something that not only taste delicious but also healthy! A perfect combination of fruits such as the watermelon, strawberries, and lime! A sure hit for those who love mixed fruit beverages!
Next, the other driving factor for their drinks is its creamy cheese! We have the Tangy Dragonfruit Cheezo! That’s right, a fusion of fruits and cheese! The salty layer of cheese foam on top of the fresh fruit drink goes surprisingly well together, offering a balance of flavours as well as maintaining the freshness of the fruits! The shop does not limit itself to just fruits and tea beverages, but also offers Milk Tea and Coffee selections. The Brown Sugar Dirty Milk Tea is their version of boba milk tea!
Not only that, in their coffee series, their Ice Blended Mocha Cheezo is one of my personal favourites! The coffee taste is not overpowering that it compliments the creaminess of the cheese on top. It is the perfect drink to quench your thirst on any given day!
Feeling hungry? Not to worry! Reinforcements of the Monkey also offers desserts and pizzas! Their Burnt Cheesecake has bobas on top of it! The cheesecake was delicious! I am definitely looking forward to eating it again soon! They serve up two types of pizza flavours which is Corn-Beef Pizza and also Olive Anchovies Pizza.
