Miri Country Music Fest is one of the most anticipated yearly event in Miri, Sarawak! After 8 years, now it’s back again for a hog-killin’ time! Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming Miri Country Music Fest 2022 happening this weekend.
About Miri Country Music Fest 2022
Miri Country Music Fest 2022 will be held on a Friday and Saturday, 25th-26th November 2022 at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club. This is the first time this event is held at this venue, which is exciting for us! The beauty of Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club is just perfect to house this very exhilarating event.
Artists of the MCMF 2022
Over the years, the organizers have been inviting amazing Country Music artists to perform at the MCMF event. This year, the performers are not short of amazing. The legendary Tantowi Yahya is also back to perform with MCMF, Ramon Cedillo, Lyia Meta, Kamal Bukhary, Johnny Loda Trio, Cambodia Country Band, Mountain Wind, Sessions: The Band and Country Roads Band.
What to expect at the Miri Country Music Festival 2022 this weekend!
Expect awesomeness! Without a doubt. On a serious note, above are the program of Day 1 and Day 2 of the event for your reference. The gates will open at 4 pm. Everyone is free to go around and check out the various Arts & Crafts and Food Bazaar before the concert begins at 7pm.
What to BRING this weekend
Here are a few things that you might need to prepare just in case! This event is semi-outdoors, in a large open space with a canopy roof, so you don’t have to worry about rain at all! Also, since it is a free-standing event, expect to just chill and even sit on the ground. Do bring some floor mats if you would like, or those cute picnic mats! Other than that, bringing an umbrella or a raincoat is also advised to get in from the car park in case of rain. For my ladies out there, listen up, if you’re planning to wear heels, lose them! Wear your comfy dance shoes instead. Better yet, boot up! More festival guides can be seen in the image above.
Refer to the image above for prohibited items for the event. Bags will be checked at the entrance and the security personnel has the right to confiscate any prohibited items from you.
On top of that, something you might want to bring – books! Books that are still in good condition but you no longer need in your home or space. The Buku Project, a CSR initiative by MCMF is still collecting books to contribute towards the educational development of the children in SMK Long Lama and Tadika Long Patei! What to do at the Miri Country Music Fest 2022
First and foremost, let loose and have fun! Fuhh, it’s been a really nerve-wracking, sleep-depriving week(well, mine is) why not just get your cowboy hat and boots on and have the time of your life, right? There’s plenty to do before the show starts at 7pm. There will be booths selling Arts and Crafts and most importantly Food Bazaar. Having scrumptious food at a festival or any event I’d say, is important! The MCMF 2022 will be featuring some of the best and most delectable eats in Miri! Aren’t you excited? I know I am!
Later in the event, expect some dancing and just mingling around! What’s the use of going to festivals if you’re not going to have fun, am I right?
Getting to MCMF 2022
If you are not familiar with where Eastwood Valley & Golf Club is located, here’s some information that could help you with it.
That’s what the entrance looks like. What you want to do is, to drive all the way to the back, and when you see the roundabout, take the 1st exit and proceed to the Club House and you can proceed to look for parking! Using Grab or Maxim is also suggested if you don’t want to worry about parking.
