Ayyo! Back with another entry. This here is another one of my favorites to hunt for. Ban Mian or also known as Pan mee. Ah Soon Homemade Noodle House Miri serves pan mee, dumplings, and many more. Stick around to see what we tried at the shop.
Located in the Boulevard area next to Hot Cross Bun, it’s hard to miss it!
This humble shop has minimal seatings and a super clean interior. You can see for yourself in the images I took above. I met with the owner Chris, who was super friendly and chatted a little about his shop and the food at Ah Soon Homemade Noodle house. He explained how customers are free to customize their noodles as they please.
They will give you an order form where you can choose and customize your dish as you like. But, if you want to order direct without all these, also can. Then just directly refer to their menu and order. Alrighty, now let’s move on to the dishes that we tried!
Homemade Noodle at Ah Soon Homemade Noodle House
First, we have the first thing on their menu. The Homemade noodle. It’s a pretty simple noodle dish tossed with their homemade noodle paired with the crispy, roasted pork and minced pork. The dish was alright for me, their noodle is seasoned nicely and the roasted pork was crispy! The only thing I wish would just be the pork to be bigger. *jokes*
Ah Soon Signature Pan Mee
Ah, that’s more like it. I’m in general such an extra person. My plate looking like this is what I want. Haha. Presenting you the Ah Soon Signature Pan Mee. This dish is served with 3 pieces of dumplings, onsen egg, manicai, black fungus, mince meat, and anchovies! I love it and all its extraness. Just like I said earlier in the entry, you can choose your preferred noodle type and all that. There’s super thin noodle, round, and flat. Apart from that, there’s also the usual mee, kuey teow, and bee hoon.
Deep-Fried Dumplings at Ah Soon Homemade Noodle House Miri
Holy dumplings! I’ve tried their dumplings before from a friend when she tapau-ed before. When I tasted it, I thought to myself that I need to try it when it was freshly deep-fried at the shop itself. It was truly not disappointing. I love how it’s crispy and full of fillings. Also, their dumplings are also available dried or in soup!
Laksa Special Babi at Ah Soon Homemade Noodle House Miri
Besides pan mee and dumplings, they also have Laksa! The breakfast of the kings, the ultimate breakfast. Different from the usual laksa ingredients, their Laksa Special Babi has all those pig intestine, liver, and pork meat. It was alright for me, it’s more of a soupy Laksa for me. If you guys follow my entries, I love me some Laksa that is super thick. *slrpsss* Nevertheless, it was a delicious Laksa for me. Do try them, and let me know what you guys think about it.
