Hi there foodies! This time, I’ll bring you for a food hunt at Miri’s neighbour, Bintulu, Sarawak. Let’s take a break from places in Kuching and Miri first, and explore more of Bintulu, shall we? Now, I’m pretty sure some of you are as lost as me when it comes to where to eat in Bintulu. I rarely go there, thus I haven’t explored much of the place. BUT, I got a few peeps back in Bintulu that I trust for their recommendation, so I got a list of places to try once I go there. I’m not that stingy, of course I’m gonna share it with you guys! Here’s a list of must-go places to eat in Bintulu without any particular order.
1. Nasi Bajet Abe Lie, Bintulu
Firstly, we have Nasi Bajet Abe Lie! This place is quite popular among Bintulu people and those who visits Bintulu. Nasi Bajet Abe Lie serves simple yet super scrumptious food. On top of that, they are affordable which makes people fall in love with it more. Well, it won’t be call Nasi Bajet for nothing right. With more than 200 great reviews on Google, this place tastes just as good even after years. That simply means they are consistent!

2. Dapo Bonda Cafe and Catering, Bintulu
Dapo Bonda is one of those places that serves numerous food choices, from roti canai to nasi goreng, to rojak ayam, they have it all here. It is really recommended by Bintulu peeps for its overall reasonable price and yummy food. Pssttt, the Roti Tsunami, Rojak Ayam and Roti Jantan are recommended here.

3. Mangkok Bocor, Bintulu
Mangkok Bocor is located near Emart Bintulu. This is also another eatery that serves a variety of food with good portions and reasonable prices. On top of that, there are also ample parking spaces, if you’re wondering if it’s hard to look for parking. Some mentioned that their Butter Chicken Rice, Laksa Sarawak and Kolok Mee are the best in town! Some may beg to differ, I know, but it’s all down to preference. The mixed review on things makes you just want to go down yourself and try you know. Have you guys ever been here? How was your experience?

4. Teratak Chi Bo, Bintulu
Teratak Chi Bo is one of the recommended halal restaurants in Bintulu. Their selection of food choices from Malaysian cuisines to Indonesian cuisines is what makes people love this place. Not only that, but they also serve mouth-watering, big portioned dishes. This is a highly recommended halal restaurant in Bintulu. It is also said to be the spot for a lepak sesh in Bintulu!

5. Kidurong Nasi Ayam and ABC Stall, Bintulu
Next, we have Kidurong Nasi Ayam and ABC stall. Their Mee goreng mamak is *chef’s kiss they say. Besides that, their Kuey Teow goreng is also a must-try. And most importantly, their portion is said to be big enough for two people! Just look at the image below.

6. Sri Cafe, Bintulu
Next on the list is Sri Cafe! This cafe serves good food at a reasonable price. It’s also another spot that serves a variety of Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine in Bintulu. The environment is nice and clean.

7. Anjung Selera, Bintulu
This is one of the must go places in Bintulu, my peeps said! Most of the food served here are tasty. With a wide selection of food from seafood to fried rice and mee, to nasi kerabu, they have it all here. Pssssst! Their Nasi Kerabu Ayam Goreng is a must try. This place is also very spacious which makes it a perfect place for gathering with friends or family. They also have a Satay stall there!

Based on the recommendations and what people describe the food at these places. I feel like driving all the way to Bintulu for it.
