Originating from Taipei’s Shilin Night Market since 2010, the newly opened Truedan Kuching is located at Ground Floor, Alfresco Area, Vivacity Megamall.

This is exactly how the brown sugar at Truedan is prepared. Truedan has also been in the boba tea game for so long, that the quality of their boba is undoubtedly the best! Here, you can find perfect 0.85cm bite-sized bubbles. These bubbles are bathed in hand-cooked brown sugar using traditional methods. The milk used in Truedan’s drinks is also carefully selected from independent dairy farms. None of their drinks contain any additives, food coloring or aroma chemicals.

Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Milk
We definitely have to try their-best seller which is the Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Milk. The moment we sipped the drink, we could taste an interesting flavor profile. The roasted brown sugar did not blow us away at the first sip, but rather there was a slight bitter and roasted flavor. Soon after, the sweetness kicks in, perfectly countering the bitter taste earlier!
Taro Brown Sugar Milk
This Taro Brown Sugar Milk was my personal favorite. Only real taro was used here. Not taro powder, not taro flavoring but authentic fresh taro!
In fact, the taro was steamed in the kitchen, then peeled and smashed into taro chunks. This is then directly added in the Brown Sugar Milk to deliver the authentic and real taro taste.
Bubble Brown Sugar Milk with Cream & Oreo
Despite the Taro Brown Sugar Milk being my favorite, this Bubble Brown Sugar Milk with Cream & Oreo drink was the first one that we finished first! Why? Because it was simply so addictive. We just couldn’t stop drinking it. The drink was so creamy and Truedan’s roasty Brown Sugar just complemented the Oreo flavors perfectly. If you’re an Oreo fan, then this is the perfect drink for you!
Uji Matcha Red Bean
Wow! This drink had such a strong matcha taste. If you love a robust matcha taste, then this Uji Matcha Red Bean will be the right drink for you. The sweetness of the drink complemented the bitterness of the strong Matcha very well. And of course, you can’t have a matcha drink without adding in some red beans in for that extra sweetness and texture!
Honey Lemon Chrysanthemum Tea
Craving for something light and refreshing? Then this Honey Lemon Chrysanthemum Tea is for you! We can really taste the fragrance of the Chrysanthemum and the sweetness from the Honey Lemon was not overwhelming.
Passionfruit Green Tea
This Passionfruit Green Tea was our favorite thirst-quencher. The burst from the fruity and slightly sour passionfruit complemented the soothing green tea so well! The coconut jelly inside gave a good chewiness to the drink and the sweetness from the boba simply binded all the flavors together for a delicious cup of fruity cooler.
