Greetings foodies! Y’all better look out because new shops have been mushrooming like crazy at Miri Times Square recently. And one of them happens to be Fruktbär, a home grown Malaysian brand that has built a name for itself. Fruktbär ain’t just an ordinary juice parlour in Miri, it offers an experience of both shopping the freshest fruits you could ever get in the market and purchasing freshly squeezed juice at the same time!

Fruktbar initially started off their business in 2019 with their first branch located at Saradise Kuching, Sarawak. This year, they decided to expand and landed themselves into Miri’s market, specifically at Miri Times Square, the newly built commercial area whereby youngsters would usually hangout.
A Wide Range of Menu for you to choose from!
Fruktbar Miri provides a wide range of fruit juice menu ranging from cold pressed juice to detox beverages, smoothies and also milkshakes. Now, what’s great about their products is that it contains no added sugar, no additive and most importantly, no preservatives! 100% All the flavours and sweetness come directly from the fruits used itself. Definitely safe to be consumed by people of any ages, including young toddlers and elderly folks!
We visited their shop the other day and here’s what we tried out:
Dragon’s Food, Mango Milk, Ocean Eyes
First up, one of the drinks I highly recommend for first timers to try would be their “Ocean Eyes” from their Glam Series. It is very much welcomed among the young adults, not only because it is visually appealing but taste pretty good as well. The beverage contains Apple, Lemon, Ginger and Blue Spirulina which gives it that natural blue colour effect. It also acts as a type of superfood that helps boosts your energy and strengthens your immune system.
Next, another drink suggestion is to get yourself their “Mango Milk”. Just like the name, it basically contains chunks of sweet tasting mango along with some fresh milk. Mango lovers will surely love this! If you crave for some smoothie, order up their “Dragon’s Food”! It is a blend of freshly cut Dragon Fruit, Apple and also Banana giving that rather creamy and thick texture. Very filling for the tummy indeed!
Detox drinks are also made available from 6 different types to choose from, you will definitely find something of your liking. “The Hulk” is one of their most popular menu items if you’re seeking to give your body a nice cleansing.
A Refreshing Bowl of Salad
Their freshly prepared Salad would be delightful to have if you seek to munch something healthy and tasty. This bowl of pure goodness contains slices of tomato, thinly sliced cucumbers, finely cut purple cabbage and carrots, some leafy greens on the bottom, generous amount of tuna flakes and also a spoonful of sweet corn.
You can pick from 3 different dressings for your salad, either the Hot spicy, Roasted Sesame or Caesar. I personally prefer the Roasted Sesame, as it gives it that nice nutty flavour and aroma from the sesame seeds.
A Variety of Sandwiches
There is also the option of getting their in-house made Sandwiches and Nachos Platter as it taste equally as good as the Salad. The types of sandwiches available are Laksa with Chicken Ham, Spicy Tuna, and Sardine Tomato, just to name a few.
Premium Fruits Sourced Locally & Internationally
Aside from selling their fruit juice, Fruktbar Miri also offers their locally and internationally sourced fruits for customers to purchase. You can find numerous items like Mangoes, Pineapples, Watermelons, Sabah Pamelo, Korea Pears, Papaya, Canada Cherries, Lemons and also red Guava. Whatever there is in season!

If you’re ever in a hurry and wanna grab something to go, their ready-packaged fruits are great for your convenience. Better lock in some nutrients than never, right?
Cozy and Nice Place to Chill
The interior design of this place has a somewhat of a Scandinavian theme to it. The walls are painted light with muted colours making the space look bright and spacious. Along with the modern, clean and sleek furnishings, it really gives that nice and cozy vibe. Not forgetting to mention, the natural lighting here is lit, great for snapping those Instagram-worthy photos!
